Analytics Roadmap Design
The first step before taking any action should be to establish a clear intention; we’ve all witnessed how time and money can be spent doing things which in the end may not take us anywhere. Becoming a data-driven business is no different. Clear objectives and priorities need to be established at the start of any program and we are here to help achieve that.
Through meetings, interviews and techniques borrowed from the product development world, we work with our clients to clearly devise an analytics roadmap that takes into account the needs and aspirations of key stakeholders, clearly formulates the questions that are trying to be answered and sets out priorities and needs.
Data Advisory
Most organizations generate and collect significant amounts of data. On top of this, third-party data aggregators offer all sort of datasets related to many, many variables. This results in what appears to be an endless variety of data and data sources among which it’s difficult for an organization to identify what will actually be useful. Based on a clear roadmap, Gnosis Axia can help establish key data requirements and to assess the gaps and limitations of the data currently available to you. Following on from this, we can also provide advice on data sources and products.
Data Analytics
Ultimately, the aspiration is to be able to inform a decision-making process through some sort of data analysis. It is through data analytics that we will be answering the question(s) that have been formulated in the roadmap. To do this, Gnosis Axia provides advanced data analytics services that include:
• Conceptual solution development
• Data exploration
• Data manipulation and processing (ETL, feature selection and engineering, etc. )
• Model development and application
• Data visualization
In some cases this may involve the development of tools that the client will keep and apply in the future. In other cases, organizations that lack the resources to undertake analytics work internally may only be looking to answer specific questions, in which case we offer ongoing analytics support.
Analytics Tools Development
More and more, organizations are looking at creating internal data analytics capabilities. This, however, requires investment in areas such as human talent, training, equipment, software and access to cloud services. We can help shortcut this process by developing tools that can be utilized, and even expanded, by your existing team. Our experience in tool development focuses mainly on to two types of data analytics:
Descriptive analytics: Consists of looking at the past and present to answer questions about what happened or is currently happening. These tools generally come in the form of dashboards with interactive data visualization that help users assess business performance and identify the potential drivers.
Predictive analytics: Used to analyze the potential future impacts of changes made to variables that are within our control, such as the price of a product, or outside of our control, such as economic growth or environmental conditions.
